Week 5, Play Week

I added The Generator Blog on my feeds through Blogline. I would like to spend more time exploring that blog, the creativity is very interesting. Letter James reminds me of image activities that can be ordered through other services, such as Walmart. The item I think would be most fun to create on FD Toys is a jigsaw puzzle of my daughters (wouldn't that have been a great Mother's Day gift?).

I spent way too much time playing with Yahoo Avatars! Here is the link for my first creation on the left: http://avatars.yahoo.com/index.html. I called her Red (sorry, brain wasn't creative at the time).

The image I created on the right is from Meez: http://www.meez.com/home.dm. This one is called Tootsey Bootsey (sorry, but elementary is my background). This image generator had many more choices and it has been developed into a game that many kids would enjoy.

I also created an image on Speech Agents: http://www.speechagents.com/index.php. These images are more realistic and can voice specific sentences that you can create. I didn't take the time to post the image on my blog (not sure if you can since it requires posting by code) because I preferred the cartoon images above (plus the voice was kind of creepy)!

The LibraryThing is a good resource to find a common on-line book club. You can visit my library shelf at http://www.librarything.com/profile/selflearner. I would use this resource when locating ratings on books to read personally. I also like that this site shows the picture image of the book listed in your personal library, if available. The LibraryThing blog is now connected to my Blogline feeds.

After exploring Rollyo, I created a search roll under Pageant Gowns/Accessories, since I'm always on-line comparing dresses and prices for my daughter's expensive hobby. My search roll can be found at: http://rollyo.com/selflearner/pageant_gownsaccessories/. I know most of you won't have the interest in this topic, but you can always view it and say "I'm glad it isn't me!"
